Frequently asked

What exactly is augmt?
augmt helps healthcare providers add and operate personal injury and federal workers' compensation as new lines of business. Our current customer-facing focus is personal injury.
Is augmt a billing company?
Billing is one part of the workflow. augmt also runs intake, scheduling, case routing, follow-up, and records preparation.
What does it cost?
The practice pays $0 upfront. There is no retainer, license fee, or minimum. augmt receives 10% of collections and is paid only on cash the practice receives. Referring law firms pay $0.
Who do you work with?
Independent physicians, specialty clinics (imaging, PT, chiropractic, orthopedics, neurology, pain management), and personal injury law firms.
Do I have to change my EHR or systems?
No. augmt can integrate with your existing EHR or work from approved EHR exports, depending on your setup. We agree on the data flow during onboarding, so staff can keep using familiar systems.
Who handles PIP billing?
augmt prepares bills for the practice or sends them using access provided by the practice. The goal is to get bills in before PIP coverage is used up.
How are payment paths handled?
Available PIP coverage, health-benefit coverage, policy terms, and claim circumstances determine the payment path. We help the practice prepare bills, track responses, and coordinate the next operational step.
For law firms, what do we provide?
A no-cost referral route, one operational contact, and coordination for intake, scheduling, case follow-up, and available records.
Where is augmt operating today?
augmt is live with practices and real cases in Massachusetts. Availability and onboarding scope are confirmed during the introductory call.
