Privacy Policy
Important: Do not send patient information, medical records, case files, or other sensitive health information through this website or ordinary email, including info@augmt.com. Contact augmt to obtain the approved secure submission method.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Augmt AI Inc. ("augmt," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the public website at augmt.com, business inquiries, and related business activities.
This Policy does not replace a healthcare provider's notice of privacy practices. Protected health information ("PHI") that augmt processes for a healthcare provider is governed by the applicable provider agreement, Business Associate Agreement ("BAA"), documented provider instructions, and applicable law.
2. Information we collect
Website and device information
When you visit the Website, augmt and its hosting provider may receive technical and usage information such as IP address, browser, device, network, operating system, referring pages, requested URLs, timestamps, and diagnostic or security information.
Netlify hosts the Website and may process request and device information to deliver, secure, and operate it under Netlify's applicable agreements and privacy documentation.
Communications and business inquiries
If you contact us, we may collect your name, work contact details, organization, professional role, message contents, and information needed to respond.
Business relationships
When we evaluate or maintain a business relationship, we may process business contact details, communications, agreements, service preferences, and related administrative records.
Operational platform and PHI
Augmt may process patient-identifiable information and PHI for participating healthcare providers through its AWS-hosted operational platform. PHI is not stored in or transmitted through augmt's general Google Drive or Gmail environment. Patient-identifiable information and case PHI are not submitted to or processed by artificial-intelligence systems or models.
3. How we use and disclose information
We may use information to operate and secure the Website; respond to inquiries; evaluate and administer business relationships; provide contracted services; coordinate authorized platform activities; troubleshoot issues; comply with agreements and law; and protect legal rights.
We may disclose information to providers supporting hosting, domain administration, communications, file storage, security, and platform infrastructure; to participating providers, law firms, or authorized parties through approved workflows; to professional advisers; when required by law; in a corporate transaction; or at your direction.
Current providers include Netlify for Website hosting, Squarespace for domain registration and DNS, Google Workspace for general business email and files, and AWS for the operational platform and PHI environment.
Augmt does not sell personal information, use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or share it with third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
The Website does not currently use independently added analytics, advertising pixels, behavioral-advertising technologies, or augmt-controlled nonessential cookies. Netlify processes server-request information for delivery, reliability, diagnostics, and security without requiring augmt to add client-side analytics code.
The Website requests fonts from Google Fonts, which may disclose technical information such as an IP address and browser information to Google. We do not use Google Fonts for analytics or advertising. If nonessential cookies or tracking services are added, we will update this notice and provide consent controls where required.
5. Health information and HIPAA
Augmt may act as a business associate to participating healthcare providers. PHI is handled under applicable BAAs, provider instructions, and HIPAA requirements that apply to augmt's role. The AWS environment used for PHI is covered by an AWS Business Associate Agreement/Addendum.
If you are a patient seeking access, correction, or another right involving provider-controlled records, contact the healthcare provider responsible for your care.
6. Retention and security
Ordinary Website and business inquiries are generally retained for up to 24 months. They may be retained longer when a business relationship develops or when needed for legal, security, dispute-resolution, or compliance purposes.
PHI and platform information are retained under provider agreements, BAAs, documented provider instructions, and applicable law. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location and applicable exceptions, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Email info@augmt.com to make a request. We may verify your identity and authority before responding. For provider-controlled information or PHI, we may direct the request to the responsible provider.
8. Children, changes, and contact
The Website is intended for business and professional audiences aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. We may update this Policy to reflect changes in services, technology, law, or business practices and will post the revised version with an updated date.
